Screen, stage and production connections

Central Florida Actors and Filmmakers

A local signal for performers, directors, writers, producers, editors, cinematographers, sound people, crew, theaters and independent teams working across Volusia, Seminole, Lake, Flagler and Orange counties.

This is a connection page, not a casting board. Show me the work, name your Central Florida base and explain the project, skill or conversation you want someone to understand.

A production is many crafts

I am interested in the people in front of the camera and the people who make the frame possible

Performers

Actors, voice performers, hosts, improvisers and stage artists with current work and a clear sense of what they do.

Story and direction

Screenwriters, playwrights, directors, producers and creative leads building independent work.

Production craft

Camera, lighting, sound, editing, production design, wardrobe, makeup, locations and practical crew.

The goal is not to collect a giant list. It is to know enough about strong local people that a future story, production, event, introduction or marketing need does not automatically leave the region.

Context before enthusiasm

A useful project introduction includes stage, ownership and the missing connection

Say whether the work is an idea, a script, a rehearsed piece, a funded production, a completed film, a festival submission, a theater season or a commercial assignment. Identify who controls the project, which roles are already filled, the intended audience and what is genuinely needed next.

Possible conversations may involve local stories, interview subjects, locations, creative collaborators, marketing strategy, community screenings, talent discovery or specialist introductions. None is guaranteed by a submission.

A clean introduction travels farther

Send one reel or portfolio link, not an inbox full of attachments

  1. Your name, city and county.
  2. Your principal role or craft.
  3. One current reel, portfolio, trailer or finished-work link.
  4. The kind of productions or performances you are seeking.
  5. The project or connection you want to discuss.

Paper Boat Media is not a talent agency, casting service or production employer through this page. There is no fee to send a note, no automatic public listing and no promise of representation or work.

The wider local entry point is the Central Florida Creative Community. Writers and interviewers have a separate invitation at Central Florida Writers, Bloggers and Podcasters.

A few useful boundaries

Frequently asked questions

Is this a casting call or talent agency?

No. Paper Boat Media is not acting as a talent agent, casting director or production employer through this page.

What should performers send?

Share your Central Florida base, a concise bio, one current reel or portfolio link, the kinds of work you do and the reason for reaching out.

Can a film project be submitted before it is public?

Start with a non-confidential summary, project stage, roles already attached and the connection you need. Do not send scripts, private screeners or sensitive production documents without prior agreement.
