Central Florida Writers, Bloggers and Podcasters

I want to hear from people in Volusia, Seminole, Lake, Flagler and Orange counties who report, explain, interview, document, argue, remember or tell a story with a voice that sounds like a person.

Audience size is not the admission test. Send one piece that shows how you think, the place you work from and the kind of conversation you would actually like to have.

A broad definition of a working voice

Books, newsletters, reporting, essays, interviews and shows all count

Writers and authors

Fiction, nonfiction, memoir, history, criticism, essays, technical writing and work that refuses an easy shelf.

Bloggers and newsletter makers

Independent publishing with a point of view, a subject understood deeply or a local beat served consistently.

Podcasters and interviewers

Audio or video conversations with preparation, curiosity and respect for the listener’s time.

I am especially interested in work that helps people notice a place, understand a difficult subject, meet someone they would not otherwise encounter or laugh without sanding off every rough edge.

Central Florida is not one media market

Name the place because the place shapes the work

Volusia County may mean DeLand, Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach or communities between them. Seminole, Lake, Flagler and Orange each carry different institutions, development pressures, histories and audiences. Tell me the city or community that informs your work instead of sending a pile of county keywords.

A single regional page keeps the invitation coherent while leaving room for those differences. It also avoids creating five nearly identical pages that would compete with one another and say less.

Make it easy to pay attention

Send one strong link and a specific reason to connect

  1. Your name, city and county.
  2. The form you work in: book, publication, newsletter, blog, audio show, video show or another format.
  3. One link that represents the work well.
  4. A short description of the people or subjects you return to.
  5. The conversation you have in mind: an interview, guest, local story, collaboration, introduction, event or simply mutual awareness.

Please do not attach an unpublished manuscript, bulk media kit or large audio file to the first note. A concise introduction and public link are enough.

This page does not replace any commercial podcast-consulting page. Its only job is community discovery. The wider entry point is the Central Florida Creative Community.

A few useful boundaries

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a large audience to reach out?

No. A clear voice, useful body of work and real connection to Central Florida matter more than follower count.

Is this a podcast consulting service page?

No. This is a community and editorial connection page. Commercial podcast strategy has a different purpose elsewhere on the site.

Will you publish my submission?

Not automatically. Sending a link starts a private review. Any interview, profile, excerpt or collaboration would require a separate conversation and permission.

What have you made that I should read or hear first?

Send one link, your Central Florida location and a specific reason you think a conversation would be interesting.
