Skill that leaves evidence

Florida Makers, Restorers and People Who Can Fix Almost Anything

I want to know the fabricators, machinists, mechanics, restorers, technicians, craftspeople and practical problem-solvers whose best marketing has always been the thing working again.

This is not a ranked vendor directory. It is a way to remember the right person when an unusual car, machine, object, prototype or physical problem needs judgment that is hard to search for.

Capability is more specific than a job title

Tell me what you can diagnose, make, restore or rescue

Machines and vehicles

Mechanical, electrical, fabrication, diagnostic and restoration work on cars, motorcycles, tools and equipment.

Parts and prototypes

Machining, welding, composites, fixtures, enclosures, mechanisms, jigs, short-run parts and the practical path from drawing to object.

Objects and craft

Furniture, signs, instruments, architectural pieces, collections and specialized repair where material knowledge matters.

I am interested in the limits as much as the capability. A trustworthy introduction includes what you do not take, which materials and eras you understand and the geographic radius in which the work is practical.

Show, locate, explain

A good introduction includes finished work and the problem you solve unusually well

  1. Your name, business if any, Florida city and service radius.
  2. Your core capabilities, tools, materials or systems.
  3. Two or three examples of finished work, with permission to share the link.
  4. The kinds of projects you accept and the ones you decline.
  5. Any license, certification or insurance that a customer should verify for regulated or high-risk work.
  6. The best way to begin a project conversation.

The introduction is not the contract

Customers still need to verify fit, credentials, estimate and responsibility

Paper Boat Media does not inspect shops, certify workmanship, guarantee schedules, hold funds or warranty repairs. Every owner and maker must agree directly on diagnosis, scope, price, parts, transport, intellectual property, safety, insurance and completion terms.

An unfinished collector car may belong on the Pantera wanted page. An undeveloped physical idea may belong on Florida Invention and Prototype Projects. Work requiring professional engineering should begin at the mechanical engineering project intake.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a public directory?

No. It is a curated connection point. Names are not published automatically and an introduction is not an endorsement, warranty or credential verification.

Who should introduce themselves?

Florida fabricators, machinists, mechanics, restorers, technicians, craftspeople and practical troubleshooters with specific capabilities and evidence of finished work.

Can I submit a project instead of a person?

Yes. Describe the object, failure, location, constraints and what kind of help you believe is needed. The project may be routed to the engineering or prototype intake if appropriate.

What can you do that people struggle to describe in a search box?

Send your Florida location, specific capabilities, service radius and two examples that show the standard of the work.
