A Craft Beverage Story Needed a Continuing Relationship
Heritage writing, bottle-scan storytelling and campaign planning helped a craft beverage business establish recurring direct customer revenue.
Brand Storyteller & Campaign Director
Nationwide / Distilleries & Regional Craft Brands
A craft beverage brand may have a story people enjoy hearing once. Building a direct customer relationship asks a further question: what gives that person a reason to remain interested after the first bottle?
I worked as brand storyteller and campaign director for this assignment. I developed interactive bottle-scan concepts, wrote heritage narratives, planned landing-page layouts and oversaw paid digital advertising. The business established a recurring direct-to-consumer club base that added predictable monthly revenue beyond wholesale channels.
Heritage should explain the particular business
A history can become generic when it is reduced to passion, craftsmanship and a founder who refused to compromise. The useful account needs details that explain why this brand took its particular shape and what its audience is being invited to appreciate.
My narrative work connected the heritage with the current customer experience. The story needed to give the product context while also supporting an ongoing relationship. A club cannot depend entirely on retelling the origin story whenever the next communication is due.
The bottle scan was another encounter
An interactive bottle experience can extend the customer's attention at a moment when the product is already present. The concept needed to offer a reason to engage, rather than rely on the fact that scanning a bottle was technically possible.
I developed those concepts and the landing-page direction. The experience and writing needed to agree about what the customer would gain. The implementation work belonged to the relevant build specialists, while my role connected the creative idea with the brand and commercial purpose.
A club changes the cadence of communication
Recurring participation requires a continuing explanation of value. The relationship has to remain understandable beyond one campaign, with messages that give members a reason to pay attention without treating every encounter as a new acquisition attempt.
The campaign work connected that relationship with the direct-sales objective. Paid-media execution also had to work within the rules applicable to the particular offer and channel. This project account describes the commercial strategy and result; it does not present a general guide to alcohol shipping, sales eligibility or advertising law.
The direct relationship added recurring revenue
The business built a club base that supplied predictable monthly revenue outside its traditional wholesale channels.
The aim was a continuing revenue relationship. The story had to keep doing useful work after the initial purchase, connecting the brand's heritage with reasons to return.
