AI-supported information and institutional relationship development around an emerging venture.
Space can make almost any presentation more interesting. That does not mean the people in the room have a business reason to participate. For this engagement, the real work began with identifying that reason.
I built a matching and outreach approach that connected corporate research interests with microgravity payload opportunities. The information work drew on company filings, patent material and research activity. The commercial work needed to explain why a particular organization should take a closer look.
An audience with a specific question
The campaign generated $14.2 million in pre-booked payload commitments from eight Fortune 500 biotechnology and semiconductor companies within six months. Those were commitments, not a statement here that every payload had flown or every dollar had been recognized as revenue.
The distinction matters because an early commercial agreement is part of a longer process. The buyer still needs to understand the opportunity, the requirements and what happens next. My work connected the digital matching, the positioning and the enterprise conversation around that process.
It is tempting to describe an unusual research environment as though its novelty is the whole offer. A corporate research team needs more. It needs to see how the opportunity relates to work it is already pursuing and how to begin evaluating the fit.
A match is the start of the sales work
An organization can appear relevant in a database for several reasons. A patent may indicate an area of interest; a filing may reveal a business priority. The commercial question is whether that connection justifies a meaningful introduction.
The matching engine gave the work a way to organize possibilities. The outreach needed to turn a possibility into an intelligible reason to talk. The payload story then had to support the next level of evaluation. That sequence is what made the project interesting to me. Technical information, digital research and enterprise messaging each contributed something different. The quality of the connection among them mattered more than the novelty of any single tool.
Make the technical subject useful to the business reader
That translation is where I spend a great deal of my time. I can be in a requirements discussion, working through a custom digital solution, or shaping the language that helps an executive explain why the effort matters. The work changes with the project; the connection between those tasks is what makes them useful.
The retained scope continued into B2B pipeline management and payload previews for recurring flight manifests. It kept the commercial story connected to the available opportunity as the program developed.
